Brandenburg – Adonis Flower in Mallnow (Märkisch-Oderland)

Tach

In April 2010 it was finally time. After the Adonis flower moved from Siberia to Oderland during the last ice age, I thought, it’s getting to the point to pay it a visit. Lilija loves yellow, and this stuff blooms yellow like crazy. So I packed up Lilija and drove with her to the Märkisch-Oderland to Mallnow.

Sometimes. but really only sometimes, I think that I only go on these road trips, that I only leave the house, so I can drink coffee in transit. Short (unnecessary?) break on the way to the roses.

Every year thousands of people come here by bus and car, to the outskirts of Mallnow and look at the floral sensation. Like many others I stumbled onto an article in the Mottenpost. On the way there, mid-route, there was of course a coffee break with homemade cake from the village health food shop. I discovered it once during a bike tour. The Adonis flowers’ yellow sumptuousness enchants many and there’s even an Adonis flower festival in the mean time. The odd thing about this spot is the concentrated appearance of the flowers in Mallnow, because normally one sees them individually.

“ I sat on a rock, and pondered while crossing my legs” – a happy Lilija in yellow. Thomas takes a break.

The trail immediately begins at the parking lot at the edge of the village, one is shorter and one longer. Large cake sales areas can be seen across the way. But we were there during the week and everything was closed and quiet, thank heavens. Only the stench of typical dodgy East German fat drifted over now and then. But the smell becomes more difficult to detect the further one gets from the parking lot. And in the little valley, more of a hollow, no more anyway. We spent a while there strolling, following the suggested path. Lilija took pictures and Thomas sat on a bench. There were also bugs, but we didn’t see the sheep that normally spend the entire year standing there. – Logical dude, otherwise they’s eat all the flowers. Man, what all that has to be explained to you.

Even Thomas could only say: Enchanting, enchanting. very enchanting.

What a lovely getaway for romantic people as you two are. Thanks for sharing your moment and wonderful photos of the bucolic scenery.

  2. What size font did you use for the grill sign?

  3. My wife and i were excited Albert managed to deal with his studies from your precious recommendations he received from your very own web site. It is now and again perplexing just to happen to be handing out concepts which men and women could have been selling. Therefore we fully grasp we have got the writer to be grateful to because of that. The entire illustrations you made, the simple site menu, the relationships you will make it possible to engender — it’s got everything unbelievable, and it’s really letting our son and us feel that that topic is amusing, and that is particularly indispensable. Many thanks for everything!
